Set of Three Crocheted Christmas Ornaments



1 - Mini Stocking Ornament

Materials:Worsted weight yarn - small amount - colors of your choice.
Size H crochet hook.
Yarn needle

Stocking:
Ch 4,
Rnd 1 - 5 dc in 4 th ch from hook, join to 3rd ch of beginning ch 4 with slst.  Do not turn.(6 dc)

Rnd 2 - Ch 3, dc in same st as ch 3, 2 dc in each st around, join to top of beg ch 3. (12 dc)

Rnd 3 and 4 - Work even on 12 dc. Now work switches to rows.

Row 5 - Ch 3 [counts as 1st dc], dc in next 10 sts, leave last st unworked, turn. (11 dc)

Row 6  - Ch 3,  dc in next 10 sts, turn.

Row 7 - Ch 3,  dc in next 10 sts, end off, leaving 12" tail - use this to sew heel seam.

Heel:
Row 1 - Working in ends of sts of row 7, attach yarn with a slst to side bar of dc next to heel seam, with outside of
stocking facing you. Ch 3, work another dc in same st,  2 dc in side of each of  next 2 sts, 1 dc in st left unworked from row 5,  2 dc in each of next  3 sts, 1 dc in heel seam, join. ( 14 dc)

Rows 9 thru 13 - Ch 3, dc in each st around, join. At end of rnd 13, end off

Cuff:
Attach yarn you will be using for cuff with slst to any st at top of stocking, with, inside of stocking facing you.
Rnd 1 - Ch 1, sc in same st as slst, sc in each st around, join to beg sc with slst. ( 14 sc)

Rnd 2 - [increase rnd] Ch 1, sc in same st as slst, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, *sc in next  2 sts, 2 sc in next st*, rep* - * around, join to beg sc with slst. (18 sc)

Rnd 3 - Ch 3, working in back loop only, dc in each st around, join to top of beg ch 3. (18 dc)

Rnd 4 - Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in same st as joining and in each st around. End off. Weave in all ends.

Stocking Hanger:
You may choose to use fishing line for an invisible hanger or attach yarn  to cuff, with slst, in one of the unused
loops from rnd 3, at heel position, ch 15, join with  slst to same st, end off. Weave in ends.

2 - Mini Mitten Ornament

Materials:Worsted weight yarn - small amount - colors of your choice.
Size H crochet hook.
Yarn needle

Mitten: Ch 4,
Rnd 1 - 5 dc in 4 th ch from hook, join to 3rd ch of beginning ch 4 with slst.  Do not turn.(6 dc)

Rnd 2 - Ch 3, dc in same st as ch 3,  2 dc in each st around,  join to top of beg ch 3. (12 dc)

Rnds 3 thru 6 - Work even on 12 dc. End off.

Thumb:
Row 1 - Ch 5, sc in 4 sts, ch 1, turn. (4 sc)

Rows 2 thru 4 - Sc in each st across, do not ch 1 turn at end of row 4. End off leaving 12" tail for sewing.

Using yarn needle, weave yarn tail back thru top of sts on row 4, gather tightly (tip of thumb).
Sew sides of thumb piece tog,
Attach thumb piece to side of mitten in 5th row. End off. Weave in ends.

Cuff:
Attach yarn you will be using for cuff with slst to any st at top of mitten, with inside of mitten facing you.
Rnd 1 - Ch 1, sc in same st as slst, sc in each st around, join to beg sc with slst. ( 14 sc)

Rnd 2 - [increase rnd] Ch 1, sc in same st as slst, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st*,
rep* - * around, join to beg sc with slst. (18 sc)
Rnd 3 - Ch 3, working in back loop only, dc in each st around, join to top of beg ch 3. (18 dc)

Rnd 4 - Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in same st as joining and in each st around. End off. Weave in ends.

 Materials:
Worsted weight yarn - small amount - colors of your choice.
 Size H crochet hook.
Yarn needle

 Hat:
Ch 4,
Rnd 1 - 5 dc in 4 th ch from hook, join to 3rd ch of beginning ch 4 with slst.  Do not turn.(6 dc)

Rnd 2 - Ch 3, dc in same st as ch 3,  *1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st*. Repeat * - * around,  join to top of beg ch 3.
(9 dc)

Row 3 - Ch 3, work 1 dc in each st around, join to top of beg ch 3. (9 dc)

Row 4 - Ch 3, dc in same st as ch 3, *1 dc in each of next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st*, repeat * -* around, join to top of beg ch 3. (12 dc)

Row 5 - Ch 3, work 1 dc in each st around, join to top of beg ch 3. (12dc)

Row 6 - Ch 3, dc in same st as ch 3, *1 dc in each of next 3 sts, 2 dc in next st*, repeat * -* around, join to top of beg ch 3. (15 dc)

Row 7 -  Ch 3, work 1 dc in each st around, join to top of beg ch 3. (15dc)

Cuff:
Attach yarn you will be using for cuff with slst to any st at top of hat, with inside of hat facing you.
 Rnd 1 - Ch 1, sc in same st as slst, sc in each st around, join to beg sc with slst. ( 15 sc)

Rnd 2 - [increase rnd] Ch 1, sc in same st as slst, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st*,
rep* - * around, join to beg sc with slst. (20 sc)

Rnd 3 - Ch 3, working in back loop only, dc in each st around, join to top of beg ch 3. (20 dc)

Rnd 4 - Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in same st as joining and in each st around. End off. Weave in ends.

PomPom:
You can use your imagination here -
glue a ready made pompom to the tip of the hat,
make a home made one from the same yarn used for the cuff,
sew a small jingle bell to the tip.

Cutie Bootie - Designed by: Susan Ann Smith Copyright: Mooncat Creations 1999. Revised 1/2001.

This is a crocheted bootie pattern for babies newborn to 6 month old that I designed a long time ago.




Fits newborn to 6mos.  Materials:  Baby / sock yarn - color A for the bootie section; color B for the cuff. (I used a variegated for A and a coordinating solid for B)   Crochet hook size E

Bootie: With color A, ch 2,

Rnd 1 - 12 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st to top of beg ch 2. (12 hdc).

Rnd 2 - Ch 2, (counts as 1st hdc, now and throughout), work a hdc in same st as ch 2, 2 hdc in each st around, join with sl st to top of beg ch 2. (24 hdc).

Rnds 3 thru 10 - Ch 2, *hdc in next st*, repeat around, join with sl st to top of beg ch 2. (24 hdc).

Heel Shaping - NOTE: 1 and 2 are worked in rows; 3 and 4 are worked in rnds, 5 and 6 are worked in rows, 7 and 8 are worked in rnds.

Row 1 - Ch 1, sc in 1st st, hdc in next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st, increase made, dc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next st, ch 1, turn. (12 sts) - remaining 13 sts are left unworked for now.

Row 2 - Sc in 1st st, hdc in next 2 sts, dc in next 6 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next st, ch 1, turn. (12 sts).

Round 3 - Sc in 1st st, hdc in next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, dc next 2 sts tog, decrease made, dc in  next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next st, (now continue on to sts left unworked from ROW 1, sc in next 13 sts, join with sl st to 1st sc of this rnd. Do not turn. (24 sts)

Round 4 - Ch 2, hdc in each st around, join with sl st to top of beg ch 2. Do not turn. (24 sts)

Row 5 - Ch 2, hdc in next 11 sts (12 hdc), ch 1, turn. Remaining 12 sts are left unworked for now.

Row 6 - Sc in each of next 11 sts, sc in top of ch 2 (from beg of row 5), ch 1, turn. (12 sts).

Round 7 - Sc in each of next 12 sc, (now continue on to sts left unworked from row 5), sc in each of next 12 hdc, join with sl st to 1st sc of this rnd. Do not turn (24 sts)

Round 8 - Ch 2, hdc in next 11 sts, sc in next 12 sts, join with sl st to top of beg ch 2. (24 sts). End off.

Cuff Ribbing: With color B, ch 10

Row 1 - Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, ch 1, turn. (9 sc)

Row 2 thru 20 - Working in back loop only, sc in each st across, do not end off.

Fold cuff in half – sl st last row worked to free loops of starting ch, do not end off.

Attach Cuff To Bootie: Insert cuff all the way into bootie with ribbing seam at center back of bootie, and last st worked on ribbing even with center back st of bootie, ch 1. Working through bootie and cuff at same time, work 1 sc in each st around, stretching cuff to fit, join with a sl st to 1st sc. (24 sts), do not end off.

For Little Girls' Bootie
Ruffle: Ch 1, turn, sc in same st as sl st, sk 1 st, *5 dc in next st, sk 1 st, sc in next st, sk 1 st*, repeat around, end with sl st to 1st sc of rnd. End off.  Pull cuff out of bootie. Work in all ends.

For Little Boys' Bootie
Edging: Ch 1, turn, sc in same st as slst, ch 2, sc in next st, repeat around, end with slst to 1st sc of rnd. End off.  Pull cuff out of bootie. Work in all ends.
